Hey,
So, I decided to dig up some old videos of HonestKyle’s very first show. Now, this isn’t the first show that I’ve ever had (let’s not confuse things).
If you read my previous post, you’ll know that I’ve been in a few other groups before this. Heck, there was at least two or three before Let All Prevail that I didn’t even mention because they didn’t have anything to do with the story.
Anyway… these are the videos of HonestKyle’s very first show.
Just as some background, the show was called Beardstock. It was organized by a local music scene acquaintance who created a production company called Beardcore Productions.
The guy actually went on to purchase his own venue eventually. I’m not sure how it turned out, but he really had balls.
Well, he asked us to play this show and I had been strong-arming his requests for months.
Finally, I thought,
“Yea, why don’t I just do it.”
I figured if I didn’t have someone light a fire under my ass, then I might never do anything with my music.
So, I rounded up a few of my friends, along with my cousin and we practiced for a couple months and performed the HonestKyle tunes live.
Now, you’ll see that we look pretty grim on stage. Believe me, I know.
Honestly, I’m much more aggressive and lively on stage, but I was feeling embarrassed that the other guys were not getting into the music like I was (hell, I wrote it).
What you can’t see, is the Community Center had about 300 people in the room at the time. It was a great turnout and I had a lot of fun.
I hope you enjoy this footage and remember, everything that we played was from my full-length self-titled album (only a few physical copies left).
Take care,
Kyle
